Murphy & King is pleased to announce that Dan Rabinovitz has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). Founded in 1971, NITA is a volunteer network of lawyers, judges and esteemed advocates across the globe who dedicate their efforts to the training and development of skilled and ethical legal advocates to improve the adversarial justice system.
Dan will begin his three-year term on the NITA Board of Trustees on January 1, 2024. An active member for decades, Dan has served as a Program Director for the organization’s Boston Trial Skills program course since 2012 and has taught trial advocacy skills at more than sixty NITA courses.
Executive Director Wendy McCormack remarked, “NITA is in Dan’s DNA. His leadership, guidance, and commitment to NITA will be a welcome presence on our Board of Trustees.”
Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department, Dan is a trial lawyer with 30 years of experience. His practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, complex business litigation, and securities litigation, including representing individuals and companies in investigations by both state and federal regulators. He began his legal career prosecuting violent crime at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago. Since that time, he has tried hundreds of cases, including numerous civil and criminal jury trials, at both the state and federal level.
“Being asked to serve an organization for which I care deeply about is a tremendous honor and I look forward to being a part of NITA’s future as it continues to provide the very best trial advocacy training experience” Rabinovitz remarked.
